Avalanche Studios is the leading independent game developer in Sweden employing approximately 80 people. Our first game, Just Cause, was released in 2006 and has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Released in March 2010 the follow-up, Just Cause 2, has already received rave reviews. Focused on original IP projects and high-profile licenses we are currently working on multiple high-end titles for PS3, XBOX and PC. Furthermore you will work as part of a cross functional team together with some of the most talented and experienced individuals in the gaming industry. Avalanche Studios also owns Expansive Worlds who develop theHunter, the world's most realistic hunting simulator. We are looking for the right individuals to head the Technical, and Content departments at Avalanche Studios. Their priority will be to ensure that the departments continue to consist of motivated individuals that have the knowledge and skill to keep Avalanche at the forefront of game development. They will have staff responsibility for ca 40 people which includes performance evaluations, recruitment, salary negotiations and general administration. Another responsibility is to set up and maintain relations with educational institutes e.g. universities, research centers etc. Key requirements are . Excellent people skills . Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English . Previous experience from personnel responsibility like staff development and staff performance evaluation . Previous experience from recruiting . Good understanding of the challenges in software development or content creation and the skills needed to overcome them Favourable . Previous experience in project management . Previous experience in having a leading role within the gaming industry . A university degree Favourable for Technical Department Manager .
