We are now looking for a Deployment Leader to lead, develop and execute the material and innovation deployment for Plastic material at IKEA to enable high performing products on all perspectives of Democratic Design and contribute to IKEA to be the leader in life at home.
Job Description
As Deployment Leader you are responsible for the development and implementation of the Plastic Material Direction across IKEA. You support business stakeholders, managers and leaders across Category Areas & other business units, in strengthening and accelerating the implementation of the material and innovation agenda for plastic materials.
Among others, in this assignment you:
• Facilitate long-term development of the Plastic Material Direction and secure advance and implementation of existing materials and production technologies.
• Follow up on execution vs targets set in the Material Direction, ıdentify and initiate material and innovation projects, lead and support with their deployment, inform all stakeholders on the execution status in relation to the scope, goals, budget, time plan, resources and risks.
• Represent the Category in project Steering Groups for projects lead by Material & Innovation, Material Management, Business Development Project Office and Circular Supply Chain Team. Act as bridge in between Category and HFB’s, providing a framework on how to place innovation into actual products.
• Prepare and formulate, communicate and anchor material innovation development and innovation deployment business cases for IKEA Development Councils (i.e. Material & Solution Council) as well in IKEA New Business & Innovation Councils.
Qualifications
We believe that you have very good understanding of IKEA Strategic Landscape, especially the Supply and Quality Strategies and the IKEA Business model for growth. You also have very good knowledge of the value chain from raw material to finished goods, of supplier capabilities and material & production processes and you understand Category plans, Supplier Development Process (SDP), Purchase Development Process (PDP), One IKEA Business Plan Process and Develop Product Offer Process (DPOP). Knowledge in plastic & market of polymers is not a must but will be considered as advantage.
You are a strong leader with an experience in taking strategies into actions within Purchasing, Supply Chain, Material Development or other relevant field. With your eye for a detail as well as with your holistic approach, you have an outstanding capability to identify business opportunities and to create, develop and anchor business cases as well to financially assess possible investments. You also have excellent communication and an ability to build strong relationships with versatile stakeholders, including senior leaders and our suppliers and to influence and challenge in a constructive and professional way, always with a positive mind.
