We are now looking for a Deputy Airside Manager to join our team at Stockholm Arlanda airport as a part of our Airside Manager's succession plan. Reporting to and working closely with the Airside Manager, the job holder will be responsible for the business interests and day-to-day operational performance of the airside department. Moreover, the job holder is expected to develop and implement business and organizational measures for the department in accordance with established goals, budget and separate agreements. The customer base is multiple, with a wide variety and complexity of operations and product offering, although the principal service provided will be ground handling. The role requires a proven manager with a strong operational and business understanding.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DUTIES
Secure the most efficient staffing and operation of the department's resources.
Participate in customer meetings and events to maintain and nurture the customer relationship for the benefit of Menzies Aviation.
Ensure development of department employees who are related to the departments other goals and plans.
Participate in the recruitment process. Implementing measures for effective training and development, performance and potential and relevant successful plans.
Achieving acceptable quality standards and objectives, both internal and external. Develop and maintain procedures for the purpose of the departments production is carried out in accordance with laws and regulations.
Moreover the job holder is expected to continuously follow up and develop staff and also keep track on the personnel attendance/absence.
KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Substantial operational management experience
Experience and knowledge of aviation services, in particular ramp handling.
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Excellent social and communication skills in both Swedish and English.
University degree preferred
Leadership training preferred
