TT-Line is the leading ferry company in the Southern Baltic Sea, using state of the art ferries between Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden. Over 900,000 passengers and more than 500,000 freight units are transported annually on TT-Lines’ 5 routes, making it the market leader in southern Sweden traffic. TT-Line currently employs around 900 people on board and in its offices in Travemünde, Trelleborg, Świnoujście / Szczecin, Rostock, Klaipėda and Karlshamn.
To strengthen the technical inspection, we are looking at the earliest possible time for a
Deputy Designated Person
The area of responsibility includes among other:
• Deputy of the Designated Person acc. ISM-Code
• Deputy Company Security Officer (DCSO) for the ships operated by TT-Line (acc. ISPS-Code)
• Support of the S/Q-Manager (DPA) in developing the Safety Management System
• Support of the S/Q-Manager (DPA) in all ship safety (ISM) and security issues (ISPS)
• Follow-Up of the development of international rules and regulations as well as flag state regulations
• Planning and carrying out internal audits within the SMS (vessels and shore organization)
• Handling of reports in accordance with SMS-chapter 'Reporting' and investigation of cases
• Administration and updating of SMS Manuals and further documentation
• Updating the "Emergency Contact Manual"
• Support of crisis team management, organisation/coordination of internal exercises or exercises with authorities/special forces
• Coordination with representatives from authorities and Dangerous Goods Advisor etc.
• Keeping close cooperation with ship’s command / HoD’s of all vessels
Expected skills:
• You have an university or university of applied sciences degree in the field of Nautic
• You have practical experience as a Ship Security Officer and 1st Officer
• You work in a service-oriented manner, adapt flexibly to changing circumstances and bring along ideas for optimizing ship operations
• Knowledge of national and international safety regulations
• You enjoy traveling and are happy to visit the vessels assigned to you regularly
• Team spirit, respect in dealing with others and curiosity about new challenges every day shape your work style
• Very good knowledge of English and safe use of the common MS Office products
