ABC Labs
A new clinical laboratory in Solna has opened up with the purpose to increase the national capacity for analysis of Covid-19 infection. The lab is located at Biomedicum, Campus Solna, offering state of the art facilities. ABC Labs is now expanding and looking for a deputy lab manager.


Areas of responsibility
The deputy lab manager will be tactically and operationally responsible for enabling efficient lab processes and a good work spirit. The person will work closely with the leader of each work shift as well as the lab manager. Scheduling of work shifts and order management represent a large portion of the work. Since the lab operates around the clock, inconvenient working hours can be expected even though the majority of the work will be conducted on day time.

Scheduling of lab personnel includes
Daily followup on scheduling for the work shifts to ensure the operations run every day.
Check time- and deviation reporting.
Vacation planning.
Order and inventory management - Ordering, receiving and registering supplies and consumables.
Inventory management - prepare inventory count and produce inventory report.
Responsible for daily count of selected items in inventory and keeping satisfactory statistics.
Ensure a neatly organized inventory with a well functioning system for receiving supplies and consumables as well as storing them properly.


Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is readily available to work in this full-time position. You probably have an academic degree and relevant work experience. Experience of similar roles, administration, accounting or payroll is meritting, but not a prerequisite. Lab experience is not a prerequisite.


You appreciate the importance of teamwork and it is therefore important that you are flexible and have good collaboration skills. As a person you are self driven, thorough, structured and communicative. Since the lab is relatively newly started it is good if you like to be part of improvement processes.
