NKT is expanding our Installation Team and offering a unique opportunity to join one of the world’s leading suppliers of the largest and most complex cable projects.

As part of NKT’s Installation Department, you will be surrounded by colleagues with various site and engineering experiences and operational disciplines. The Deputy Manager Onshore and Platform Installation role consists of mentoring colleagues within the group of their daily work enabling the possibility to discuss details and tender specific challenges and support the team which is in a growing phase while maintaining high quality in the delivery.

Success criteria includes the ability to work in a project organization, the ability to multi task, keeping a rational thinking through stressful situations and managing people and their expectations and aspirations.

Primary tasks and responsibilities

* Enforce SHEQ mindset within the team and at all sites
* Report to the Manager of Onshore and Platform Installation
* Lead a team of ca 15 persons
* Performance reviews
* Development and qualifications of employees in the team
* Recruiting and hiring tasks
* Delegating work tasks
* Drive and contribute to the development of the organization
* Making sure processes are followed and developed
* Resources planning of on-going and coming site activities and projects
* Allocating tasks between team members and support the team as and if required
* Ensure adherence to department budget
* Ensure coordination and execution with stakeholders internally and externally
* Drive continuous improvements and gathering lessons learned


Qualifications and experience

* MSc or other equivalent education
* 10+ years’ experience from HVDC cable installation activities or similar
* Strong leadership focus in an international environment with a strong safety awareness.
* Hands-on and practical mindset with focus on result and progress
* Proficiency in Swedish and English are required, along with high written and spoken communication skills.
* Basic IT skills
* Possibility to travel 30-60 days per year sometimes on short notice
* Location for this position is at the NKT office in either Karlskrona or Malmö, Sweden
