We at Itinera are looking for a Deputy site manager civil works to be part of the team building the Hammarby Canal station. The project is entering a phase with production on multiple fronts.
Currently, around 60 people work on site, and the project is led by our project manager, Frida Hesselgren. Frida describes the team as follows: "The team in Hammarby is a group of professional people who are competent in various fields, and we all share a genuine care for the project and for each other."

Frida is a well-established figure in the construction and civil engineering industry and has many years of experience as a leader. One of her colleagues in the organization describes her leadership as modern and trust based.
The position will be for approximately one year due to parental leave.
Main responsibilities as a Deputy site manager civil works
Assist the production manager in following.
· The production planning together with project planner and other site managers and ensure compliance with both short-term and long-term schedules for the work area.
· The detailed planning of production within their area of responsibility.
· Coordinate resources, including employees and subcontractors, within their area.
· Ensure the completion of works as per the schedule and technical specifications, optimizing resource use and efficiency.
· Provide input in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and other construction-related documents.
· Attending meetings with subcontractors to discuss construction methods, progress, quality, safety, and resource issues.
· Prepare change orders in consultation with project management.
· Oversee material management, interfacing with the procurement department to manage material supplies.
· Verify and ensure the correct execution of works in compliance with regulations, and applicable standards.
· Ensure that all processes and tasks comply with established safety, environmental and quality requirements.
· Encourage and motivate workers to report hazardous conditions and incidents, ensuring that reports lead to corrective actions.
· Lead the documentation and quality control flows, ensuring all processes comply with contract requirements.
· Support the Production manager in verifying the progress of works against the schedule and budget, analyzing deviations, and proposing corrective actions.
Your profile
You should have documented experience in a similar role, demonstrating ability to manage projects from start to finish while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and optimize processes is essential.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personality and ability to create and maintain networks and good relationships.
For this position, you need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
