The Department of Clinical Pathology and Cytology, Karolinska University Hospital has a vacant position for a full time dermatopathologist.


Arbetsuppgifter:
Responsibilities will include analysis of skin malignancies and inflammatory dermatoses, sentinel nodes in melanoma patients and immunofluorescence specimens, and active participation in clinical conferences, as well as internal consultation and resident training.

The Dermatopathology unit processes approximately 11,000 skin specimens per year. At present, three senior and junior pathologists are involved in dermatopathology diagnostics.

The Karolinska University Hospital provides a stimulating environment with excellent opportunities for academic research in close collaboration with clinical and laboratory-based researchers.

Position and salary will be according to experience. The successful applicant will be given support to acquire Swedish language skills and knowledge of the relevant legislation.

Kvalifikationer:
Formal requirements are MD or MD/PhD with eligibility for medical licensure in Sweden, and board certification or board eligibility in clinical pathology with sub-specialisation in dermatopathology.
