Your mission
In this role you will be an important team player in the existing R&D team. Your main tasks will be to participate in and add your knowledge to a number of defined projects within the processes of New Technologies (NT), New Project Development (NPD) and Continous Product Improvement (CPI). We also expect you to take on the challenge as a lead engineer in NPD projects and be responsible of the engineering deliveries. As a lead engineer you represent R&D in project meetings and cooperate closely with other functions within the projects, both internally and externally.
You need to be an active contributor in developing methods of working within the area of your responsibility as well as take an active role in the systematic improvement work within the department.
Your profile
We expect you to hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, alternatively similar competence gained by other education and/or work experience. You have theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience of application of knowledge within your area of expertise. We are looking forward to your contribution of new knowledge to the team within the field of mechanical engineering but possibly also within automation and electrification.
In addition, we expect you to have:
- good skills in 3D modeling and drawing creation. Knowledge in applications like Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill and Teamcenter is not a must but an advantage.
- knowledge in the field of both static and dynamic FEM calculations.
- skills in simulation of mechanical systems.
- knowledge in the English language, and we expect that you are fluent in the Swedish language.
Knowledge in hydraulic systems and installations is an advantage and the same goes for knowledge and experience within the electrification and automation area.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a high degree of sense of responsibility, motivation and engagement. Your have a possitive attitude and the drive and capabiltity to achieve results within the given framework. You are willing to take on new challenges and have great cooperative skills. We expect you to have a structured way of working, to be communicative and willing to share knowledge.
Location and travel
The position is based in Kalmar, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
