Design engineer, Wheel suspension 
At ART Body control & Road contact we are passionate in developing technology that enables Volvo Car Group to fulfil its aggressive targets to be the leader in the areas of Driving Dynamics & Comfort. Within Wheel Suspension we are looking for a dedicated design engineer who will work with development of wheel suspension with focus on our structural and kinematic content. 
As a design engineer, you will work in a highly motivated and diverse team with members from different backgrounds and experience and towards a broad variety of external suppliers from various countries. Most of the work will be done in our Gothenburg office but occasional travels to meet suppliers, participate in vehicle builds or complete vehicle verification activities are to be expected.

What you will do
Within the ART Road contact & Body control we have a wide variety of competences since we work with everything from build-to-print parts like subframes and link arms to developing software in-house. 
To manage the collaboration and align on time technology and cost we need a skilled coordinator with the ability to understand technology and commercial considerations as well as being able to mediate these between different stakeholders. Your will be a part of a team focusing on mechanical engineering. International travel and cultural awareness will be required.

Do you fit the profile?
•    We are looking for you who are passionate about cars and new technology. 
•    You have educational background within engineering or experience equivalent to that. 
•    We see that you possess solid knowledge within product development and Volvo processes and have experience from managing projects and suppliers in the development phase. 
•    Experience of working with wheel suspension is valued but not a requirement. 
•    You have at least 8 years previous experience of development work within the automotive sector and experience from engineering work on system level. 
•    Knowledge in CAD, component design and packaging is recommended but your tasks will not consist of CAD work. 
•    We are global company and therefore you must be fluent in English.
