The transmission design and Marine Engine and EMOB Mechanical Design departments are looking for design engineers who are interested in working with various technologies and all design stages towards marine transmission system, marine engines and EMOB drivelines. A person who is curious and driven to take on new possibilities and be actively involved and who is able to look at the bigger picture as well as going down in details.

The transmission department within Product development:
The transmission department within Product development is responsible for the development and design of transmissions for Marine applications. It is located in Gothenburg and Köping and manufacturing sites are in Sweden and US. The department is today about 22 persons working in different roles. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the transmissions – from new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and feedback from the market.

All stages are led by project leaders within the department and to which this position supports. This role is set and defined together with each project leader for each project. For the individual there is a great opportunity for growing the responsibilities and tasks.

The Marine Engine and EMOB Mechanical Design department within Product development:
The Marine Engine and EMOB Mechanical Design department is responsible for the development and design of combustion engines, engine parts & accessories as well as mechanical design of electrical & hybrid drivelines for both on land & marine applications. The department is today about 15 persons working in different roles. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the engines & drivelines – from new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and feedback from the market.

All stages are led by project leaders within the department and to which this position supports. This role is set and defined together with each project leader for each project. For the individual there is a great opportunity for growing the responsibilities and tasks.

Required knowledge and experience:
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in minimum a Bachelor degree with preferably a couple of years of professional experience
We are a global team and located in Gothenburg, Köping, Vara, Skövde, England UK, France, India and Chesapeake US, therefor communication and networking skills are highly valued
You are, or are able to quickly become, proficient in Creo
