THE POSITION
As Design Engineer, you belong to the Product Development and Engineering department, PD&E. Within PD&E, there are several engineering disciplines gathered and we benefit from a lot of cross-functional knowledge sharing. There is, for example, one group that develops new sealing materials in our recently built material laboratory and another group with our Technical Product Managers who manage the technical responsibility of already launched products.

In your role as Design Engineer at PD&E, you will be:

• Technical resource and Design Engineer in product development projects of new and existing products

• Responsible for making and archiving manufacture and product drawings, as well as other relevant technical documentation related to the product development according to established Roxtec processes.

• Part of our R&D activities, meaning development of new concepts with new and for Roxtec unknown technologies. This also includes some pre-testing of concepts.

• Striving to stay updated with the latest know-how regarding relevant materials and manufacturing methods as well as computer aided engineering.

Later on you can choose to specialize in different fields such as Finite Element calculation (FEM) and predict sealing performance, or you can develop into an EMC specialist (Electromagnetic Compatibility). We also need technical generalists, if that suits your profile best. The most important thing is that you are curious of understanding technical phenomena and characteristics in order to be able to contribute to the development of world-leading cable and pipe seals.

QUALIFICATIONS
We believe that you have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with some years of work experience.

We pay great attention to your personal features and to your broad technical experience.

You must manage spoken as well as written English.

The post of employment is at the headquarters in Karlskrona and business travel is included in the role.
