The Volvo Penta Light Duty Engine Platform and EMOB Mechanical Design department are looking for a design engineer who are interested in working with various Technologies at all design stages with our marine engines and industrial & marine EMOB drivelines. The Volvo Penta Light Duty Engine Platform and EMOB Mechanical Design department within product development:
The LDEP and EMOB Mechanical Design department is responsible for the development and design of combustion engines, engine parts & accessories as well as mechanical design of Electrical & Hybrid drivelines for both on land & marine applications. The department is today about 19 persons working in different roles. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products, taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the engines & drivelines – from new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and feedback from the market.
All stages are led by project leaders within the department and to which this position supports. For the individual there is a great opportunity for growing with the responsibilities and tasks.
Required knowledge and experience:
Your CV should contain listed qualifications, minimum a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of professional experience within CAD design of complex technical parts.
You shall have good knowledge of CREO CAD & Creo view software.
Knowledge in KOLA structure system is also an important merit.
Good knowledge of production processes and routines.
The office is located in Gothenburg, within our department we work as an global team with colleagues in Vara, Skövde, England UK, France, India and Chesapeake US and many more places. Therefore communication and networking skills are highly valued
