At Heavy duty engine department, we are responsible for the development and design of engines for both industrial and marine applications. The department is today 22 persons working with different roles. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products and taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle. You can be involved in new development projects, product maintenance or quality issues and feedback from the market.
Our home base is the Volvo Penta headquarter in the heart of Campus Lundby in Gothenburg, Sweden.


Who are you?
To be successful in the role as design engineer you need to have at least 4 years of experience as design engineer. You need to have good knowledge in CREO and experience within alternative fuels is a merit.
Together with our team of highly skilled colleagues you will get the opportunity to develop both on a professional and personal level.
You will have the opportunity to not only develop and design parts and systems, engines and drivelines but also to be part of building the prototypes, participate in rig and boat testing and work with the production plant to optimize the parts.
If you like networking, you will enjoy yourself with us. You will network with suppliers and various parts of the company, such as purchasing, production, testing and the other design departments.
