Design Engineer Accessories

Our accessories team is growing and we are looking for a Design Engineer to our Global Development Center in Hillerstorp.

You will mainly work with accessories to our kids products, such as rider board and snack tray to our strollers and trailers, but you will also work towards other product categories within Thule.  

The Accessories team’s challenge is to design a universal accessories assortment that fits across our current and coming product portfolios. In your role you will develop and design accessories and you will follow the complete product development cycle, from idea generation to industrialization. In projects and products with smaller scope you will have a broader role and need to work closely with the main product developers. 

Throughout the development cycle it is important to keep mechanical performance, manufacturing methods, cost, appearance and compliance in mind. You will work in close cooperation with your Chief Engineer and the Accessories team as well as the project teams with Project Managers, Test Engineers, Simulation Engineers and Prototype Technicians. 

The candidate
You have an academic degree in engineering or equivalent documented experience and minimum 3 years relevant work experience. In addition to this you have extensive 3D/CAD experience (preferable Solid works). It is meritorious with good knowledge in PLM-system.

About our Global Product Development Department
Globally we are over 250 engineers out of the majority is working in our Global Product Development Center in Hillerstorp (Sweden). Our cross functional team consists of highly skilled and motivated members with a well-balanced variety of experiences. We are a truly global company with an international and multi-cultural team.
