Design Engineer – Additive Manufacturing

Design Engineer – Additive Manufacturing

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Seco Tools and the Method Development department in Fagersta, we develop new methods and processes for manufacturing inserts and tools. We’re now on the lookout for a driven and communicative Design Engineer to join us – this is a role where you get to work with cutting-edge technology. Does this sound exciting? Welcome to be part of our team!
About the job
In this position, you develop and design products, equipment, and tools to be able to produce products that meet high quality requirements and performance standards. You analyze equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design. As a key user for additively manufactured custom tools for external customers, your responsibility from a long-term perspective is to support and give feedback to AM designers while working on your projects. You work with tool design and, to some extent, quotations towards external customers, while at the same time having a close connection to R&D.
This position is located in Fagersta, with the majority of the working time on site. Some travelling might be needed occasionally.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with several years of experience working as a design engineer, preferably within cutting tools. Having a basic understanding of measuring, quality control, cutting tool application and additive manufacturing in general as well as skills in programs such as Siemens NX, Ansys and Ntopology are highly beneficial. Since we operate in an international environment, this position calls for verbal and written English skills, while also knowing Swedish is preferred.
We place great value on your personal qualities! You’re analytical, open minded and thorough – allowing you to keep an overall view and at the same time spot the details while simultaneously thinking outside the box. You’re eager to learn and build competencies and experiences and with great communication skills, you build networks and relationships across cultural borders. Using your experience and drive, you push forward and take responsibility for our results, as well as for your development.
