Design Engineer - Battery Development

Tata Technologies Nordics, the Swedish arm of Tata Technologies, is now looking for a Design engineer within Battery Development to strengthen our existing team.
As a Design engineer at tata Technologies, you will be a part of our Mechanical engineering department in a team of professional individuals from different parts of the world. We do work both inhouse in project teams and onsite at our client’s facilities.
Your main responsibility is to develop and update different Battery modules and Battery pack components in cooperation with other team members and stakeholders at the customer site as well as with suppliers. You will actively drive and lead the development to fulfil given targets in terms of cost, timing, delivery and quality.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and design of one or several components or systems within Battery modules and/or Battery packs.
Responsible for the creation and release of requirement specifications.
Communicate and agree the requirements with the supplier(s).
Support technical discussions with stakeholders at customer and with supplier.
Hands on support with prototype builds.
Responsible for planning component level testing and validation
Report status back to Lead engineer/Project.
Conduct DFMEA on part level.

Your background
B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering. M.Sc. is meritorious.
Minimum 5 years of experience from working as a Design engineer within Battery systems, Electric propulsion or similar domain.
Experience from packaging of electrical components, enclosure design of electrical components.
Skilled user of Siemens NX (2D and 3D)
Knowledge of plastic part design and its different manufacturing methods (Extrusion, Injection moulding).
Knowledge of sheet metal design.
Experience from GD&T
Knowledge in Teamcenter.
Spoken/written English, Swedish is a plus.
Work permit valid for Sweden.
