What you’ll do
You will be leading the electrical design of the high voltage battery components such as harnesses, flexible PCBs, plastic and steel carriers, brackets etc needed for the electrical infrastructure within the vehicle traction battery. The main task is to ensure delivery of both Build-To-Print and Full-service supplier components with regards to time, technology and cost requirements of the task area within a vehicle program. Your work environment is in an agile team making common planning with other design leaders and design engineers, getting support from Product Owner, Scrum Master and Team Manager. Part of your responsibility is to manage and drive suppliers with regards to planning and delivery ensuring available at the right level and at the right time. You will have contact with CAE, manufacturing, testing and other departments within Volvo Cars to agree on required actions.

You will also:
•    Create and maintain part structure in all systems, follow up prototype car builds and manufacturing of prototypes
•    Creating RFI/RFQ, Engineering statement of work, technical requirement documents etc. 
•    Perform design reviews 
•    Ensure that verification activities are planned and performed according to the overall time plan 

Do you fit the profile?
We think you have a technical education at university level or equivalent experience and more than 5 years of additional work experience with the electrical area. You have proven good leadership and coaching skills with a structured way of working and act as a task/design leader within vehicle development for the automotive industry.

Other skills needed for the position:
•    Agile way of working preferably according to SAFE
•    PLM and product structure systems such as Teamcenter, WERS, KDP, KOLA etc
•    FEMA
•    TLP – technological planning.
•    Experience from different vehicle electrical system and/or traction components is considered as extra valuable.
•    Ability to coordinate, compile and refine tasks and scopes for the team and the technical area.
