Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Our group Brakes and Auxiliary systems is responsible for installation of brakes, compressed air systems, electronic level control and energy storage installation like fuel or gas tanks.
Right now we are involved in several exciting projects at Scania such as developing future electrical and autonomous busses and installing next generation of brake system. We are responsible for the layout of brakes components, air compressor and electronic control system and all components producing and transporting air into the systems for bus. The work require cross functional cooperation with system owners and other groups within R&D as well as outside Scania. Since most of the system components are shared with Truck development we have a close collaboration with them. We also develop our installations in close cooperation with the testing groups. This gives us the possibility to get first-hand experience of how our systems behave and what we can improve. In addition to above we are responsible for the development and installation of the fuel tank for the auxiliary heater and gas tanks for the vehicles powered by gas.
Your Profile
Now you have great possibility to become part of our team. We are looking for a designer with experience from Catia or similar CAD tools to strengthen our experienced team. You will be working with the pneumatic system, installing components and creating pneumatic diagrams for the brake and compressed air. To secure good system performances we will give you a lot of opportunities to cooperate with our cross-functions.
Good ability to communicate in English is a demand, Swedish or a willingness to learn Swedish is a merit as also previous experience from developing similar systems. Knowledge of systems used at Scania like Catia V5, OAS, Fras and Product Development process is beneficial but not mandatory.
