The Role
The Bus Battery Installation team is part of the ePropulsion Bus Engineering group comprised of various teams, including Powertrain, Cooling system and Electric Schematics.
You’d be expected to
• Be involved in the conceptual stages of new products, and as part of a cross-functional team create innovative designs and help optimise those components with regards to strength, weight and cost.
• Cooperate with test engineers and production engineers, taking your conceptual sketches to production-ready parts.
• Discuss and negotiate with suppliers on project plans and manufacturability.
• Create drawings using GD&T, prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings within various forums.
• Benchmark and analyse competitors with regards to battery components.
• Support continuous product and process improvement
Requirements
• BS/MS in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or materials engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant industry.
• Strong communication and preference for working in teams
• Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances.
• Strong expertise in CAD modeling (CATIA especially meritorious)
