Be a part of Scania with a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects concerning chassis components, finding new ways to improve products, methods, and processes with focus on modularity. You must thrive in a high paced environment and help conceive and develop exciting and innovative designs as well as supporting current products in the field with quality issues.
You will belong to a team that is responsible for the design and installation of fuel tanks, air tanks, cat walks and protection covers. We also have an overall responsibility of the architecture of the chassis. The team is also heavily involved in developing the future products for Scania, since we also work with installation of components on electrified vehicles.
The team is now looking for two new employees, one which will have extra focus on the architecture of the vehicle and the other one on air tank development and installation.
The work will include:
• Involvement in the conceptual stages of new products, and as part of a cross-functional team create innovative designs and help optimise those components with regards to strength, weight and cost.
• Cooperation with test engineers, production engineers and styling, taking your conceptual sketches to production-ready parts.
• Discussions and negotiations with suppliers on project plans and manufacturability.
• Creation of drawings, preparing reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings within various forums.
• Benchmark and analyse competitors with regards to chassis components.
• Securing installation of components to be able to present a wide specification for our customers
