At Volvo Product Creation & Quality (P&Q) you will be a key contributor to the next generation of outstanding luxury BEV vehicles from Volvo Cars. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.

Our group 97750, Electric Transmission Integration, consists of 3 teams and about 34 engineers.

The department, Electric Transmission Integration, is responsible for design and integration of the electric transmission. You will be part of an engineering team that develop engineering solutions that fulfil attribute requirements and the manufacturing process.

As a Design engineer in the Electric Driveline team, you will be part of the design and development from concept phase to production phase. Your main area of focus will be the torque transfer system where you will closely collaborate with suppliers, other teams within electric drive, attribute centres, procurement, and manufacturing engineering. Your area of responsibility will span from concept phase all the way until industrialization/production, and include optimization, integration, function, testing & verification, and quality of the torque transfer system.

Required qualifications
* Master of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
* At least 2 years of experience in gear and transmission component design for the automotive industry
* At least 2 years of experience in electric driveline development
* Experience with analysis of data from torque transfer components/gears
* Experience of working with suppliers is a plus
* Experience from manufacturing engineering is a plus.
* Programming skills in Python, MatLab, C++, etc. is a plus
