Design Engineer Electrical Components for HV Batteries and Charging Systems
Do you want to be in the centre of driving the shift towards sustainable transports? Are you looking for a role where you can influence the design of tomorrow's electrified transport system? We are now recruiting an engineer with knowledge in electronics and/or electromechanical design to join our team.
Assignment
As a design engineer you will be responsible for developing high voltage electrical components such as contactors, fuses and sensors in the battery and charging systems. Your overall goal is to ensure that the best possible technical solution is developed. Typical work tasks include specifying component requirements (electrical, mechanical, thermal and integration) and balancing these for the complete system, coordinating tests and supplier activities, collaborating with our partners and having the overall responsibility for the component and its functionality. Keeping up to date with advancements within the EV area is a natural part of your work.
Your profile
You have a M Sc in electric or mechanical engineering or similar with a solid interest in EV technology. Previous experience as development engineer within electronics design or mechatronics is an advantage. You are a solutions oriented person with a structured and organized way of performing your activities. You are an innovative person and also enjoy social networking. The nature of our field requires us to constantly look out for future needs for our customers and quickly adapt to technical changes. You are willing to take on the task to lead us the way for your components.
Our group
Join our team within Battery and Charging Systems, a highly motivated and solution-driven group at the Electrification branch at Scania R&D. We have the exciting task to design and develop electronics hardware for battery packs and charging components. We focus on solving problems together combining our competences to create the best solutions balancing requirements on safety, performance, quality and cost. Besides the Scania and Traton family we also have access to competent co-workers within the entire VW Group through wide cooperation with other brands.
