Who we are?
The section Electrical Distribution System EDS part of Base Software Development is responsible for the development of solutions for power distribution and wiring for all platforms in Volvo Cars product range. The engineering work is done in cross functional engineering teams including international suppliers. The Design group looks for reinforcement in the area of electrical distribution.

What you’ll do 
As design engineer in the electrical distribution area, you are member in an Agile team. You will have a technical responsibility over time for an installation area of the vehicle, e.g. engine compartment or cabin. Your role will contain definition of requirements, time schedules and other pre-requisites to be used as base for the engineering work. You will also follow project deliveries from timing and quality perspectives. 

Your main responsibilities are to lead development of subsystems and component solution (time, technology, costs). Ensure definition of requirements and balancing of these for the affected subsystems and components. Ensure effective daily cooperation with the development suppliers, establish time schedules and follow-up.

Who you are?
Technical university degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent as working experiences. We also appreciate that you have knowledge and experience in process, systems and tools used for technical documentation and project management within Volvo Cars.
You can take decisions based on facts and has an ability to prioritize your tasks. We are looking for a personality with high integrity, professionalism, Self-motivated with a strong delivery orientation. High cooperation ability and communication skills. For this position you need to be fluent in spoken and written English. 

You have a personal energy and drive to perform and support your own development with the aim of running the business successfully.
