Design Engineer Exterior parts

The Exterior department is a design group within the global Structures & Exterior organization. At our site in Braås we are responsible for development and design of exterior parts for the products Articulated Haulers and Wheel Loaders. Example of responsibility areas are Hoods, Grille, Fenders, Mudguard, Stairs and steps, Rails, Platforms, Hatches, Tool-box, Fuel and Hydraulic tank (except the fluids), and Decals. In order to strengthen the department?s competence and capacity to meet the future requirements we are now searching for a: Design Engineer Exterior parts Tasks and Responsibilities: As Design engineer you are participating in all the development stages from concept to parts in production which means that you should be able to take responsibility and independently lead the tasks within your engineering area. You need to fulfill the quality and cost target for the component and plan for needed activities. We are working with both new development projects and maintenance of parts in productions that we continuously are adapting for markets and demands. Engineering documentation is done in Catia V5. Other typical tasks are writing technical specifications, define product structure and work with product design. In your daily work you will have a lot of contacts with Design engineers at other departments, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product design 3P, Suppliers, etc, both locally and on other sites. Profile: You have an open and positive attitude, the ability to understand and accept cultural differences as well as seeing the benefits of working in an organization where diversity is seen as an asset. The job requires that you create a good network within and outside the company on a local and global base. Since most of the projects are done in cross functional teams, good communicative skills and ability to work in teams is a must. We believe you have the following qualifications: Master of science in engineering or equivalent experience You have knowledge and experience of product development in Automotive or Off-Road industry Good knowledge in Mechanical and Plastics Engineering is an advantage A few years experience of working in CAD (preferably Catia V5) You have the ability to easily communicate in English both spoken and written
