Within ART 830 Thermal Management, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Flow Distribution HW team as 1st Design engineer and Design lead for coolant hoses. 
You will work in a creative environment; our mission is to develop systems and components in accordance with Volvo's standards and core values, focusing on safety, design, quality, environment and to become leading.

As Design lead in the team, you will be T-shaped and work with a lot of different topics from the common team backlog, but you will be responsible for and prioritize tasks that regard leading the internal design work, supplier cooperation and securing future development steps of the components of your responsibility. Most of the design work is made in collaboration with our suppliers. You will work from early in the industrialization phase until start of production. The overall development work is done in close cooperation with Manufacturing, Procurement and the Suppliers, hence you can expect many different interfaces to work with. You will be working in a truly global environment with many contact points with stakeholders in China, US and EU countries.

What will you do?
You will be a member of the Flow Distribution HW team as Design Lead, work in a true agile team, securing results and deliveries in accordance with the ART vision.  
You are responsible for cooling system hoses and temperature sensor within ART Thermal Management. You will handle the documentation, so that technical solution is described in all applicable systems and ensure the correct structure in the KDP system. You will initiate and assure that corrective actions are carried out when deviations occur, and handle issues documented in the Flow/VIRA system.  

Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have been working in an agile world before and have the mindset to become truly agile.
We also believe you have an Engineering background (BSc university degree or higher) and experience in design engineering work. You have been working with internal/external projects before and have good understanding of how it works. Good communication and transparency are something that comes naturally to you.
Knowledge of Volvo systems like TCPLM/KDP, Pecca Pro cost and VIRA are meritorious and knowledge in Catia and Teamcenter is beneficial as well as previous experience of working with electrical components. 
You need to be fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driving license “B” valid in Sweden.
