Who we are
We are UECB - Harness design VCB & Electrification systems and are responsible for the design and installation of the VCB and VCA cable harness for transferring high and low voltage electrical power on the trucks. You will be a part of a tight team of cable harness designers who are working focused on Battery Electric Vehicles. Your primary responsibilities will be to design the layout of our high and low-voltage cables on the chassis. You will be an important link between chassis installation and system development.
About the role
As a design engineer, you will have an end-to-end responsibility, both developing new components and improving existing components used in customer operation. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment within Scania and suppliers.
Your responsibilities
• You will design the layout of both our high and low-voltage cable harnesses on BEV trucks, which includes design electric circuit diagrams, bundle drawings, 3D models, mounting, and assembly drawings.
• Verification and validation of the components.
• Improve our design layout with a focus on quality and cost, and contribute to continuous improvement of our methods and processes.
• Prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings in various meetings.

Qualifications
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar
• Previous work experience within electrical engineering/cable harness design is desirable
• Experience of working in a CAD environment is a requirement
• Experience of Catia V5 is a requirement
• Experience in Saber and cabling design is an advantage
• Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
• Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing is a requirement for this position
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is an advantage
