Do you want to be in the driver seat of Scania’s electrification journey? Then this position is something for you!
For our electrified vehicles, the performance of the charging system is crucial to deliver premium value towards our customers. One important aspect is the time it takes to charge the vehicle which directly affects the uptime i.e. the time a vehicle is driving and generates value.
Here we need to find the right performance steps of our charging system to suit the needs of all our customer’s operations. It is not until then we fully can support our customers to electrify their whole fleets and thereby drive the shift towards a more sustainable transport system.
We are now looking for an ambitious and driven Design Engineer that will help us to set the course for the future performance of our charging system.
Who we are
UECC – Charging Components is a group responsible for the current breaking concept. We own and develop hardware components such as fuses, contactors and actuators. The group consist of design engineers and object leaders (project leaders).
About the role
As a Design Engineer you will have end to end responsibility, both developing new hardware components and improving existing components in customer operation. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment both internally at Scania, but also with suppliers and other brands within TRATON.
You will be responsible for:
• Setting requirement specifications for your components to secure the needs of customers, suppliers, production and aftermarket.
• Verification and validation of the components.
• Having close dialogue with our suppliers to discuss and understand the technical details of the design work.
• Benchmark and analyse competitors with regards to your components.
• Prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings in various meetings.
Who you are
You are a dedicated team-player who thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment. You are communicative and well-structured in your work. You find motivation in developing the best way forward in cooperation with others. You have a good analytical ability and you navigate between details and context to find the optimal technical solution.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within electrical engineering. Previous work experience within electrical engineering is a plus but not required.
