Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Our mission consists of delivering, maintaining and developing product structures for the complete Scania Product Portfolio.
We provide vital product data within weight, ICD and material data sheets, and act as support for R&D throughout the whole product development process.
Further responsibilities include development of common methods, tools, ways of working and planning for all technical product areas.
We can offer you a position in a part of the organization that is an active player when it comes to driving the demand for system development from a business perspective as well as driving the shift towards digitalisation.
Our team is responsible for creating models and measurements to publish ICD-drawings (2D) to body builders around the world. Today the ICD-team consists of four persons in Södertälje and a team of five persons in India. The ICD-drawings gives retail, end customers and body builders important information early in the process to plan and order parts for the body building of the vehicle.
About the position
Team mission is to analyse and follow up on incoming product changes and how they affect the ICD-drawings. From those changes we work with creation of new or adjusted ICD-drawings.
The parts and geo-models are created/changed in our modular system OAS and in our CAD-program, Catia. We also work with inquiries from the market side and we operate a helpdesk that is managed every day. Together we contribute in developing the area of ICD and improve ways of working, asking ourselves how to work in a smarter and more efficient way.
Our team colleagues in India works with creating geo-models and publish ICD-drawings for customized ordered trucks and we cooperate, coordinate and develop the work together with them.
Your profile
We are looking for an energetic colleague who can add new perspectives. You like to be part of a small team and work cross functionally within R&D, market and IT. To operate within this network of yours it is essential that you have good communication skills and a proactive approach.
Our eyes will be open for a candidate with skills in planning, visualizing and leading others, since this is important components in our daily and future tasks. We will also appreciate a curious mind and your thoughts on how to improve our area.
• You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• You hold a Bachelor or a Master´s degree in Science (or equivalent).
• Experience within ICD and knowledge about Scania and our trucks is a merit.
