We are growing and need more skilled engineers!
We are searching for a design engineer that can be a part of our customer team developing base carpets, inlay carpets, sound absorbers, insulations and epp blocks.
The customer group develops new system solutions implemented in new car programs as well as yearly updates for current models. The team is around twenty engaged persons both design engineers and group design leaders/project leaders. The team have many interfaces towards groups working with other areas throughout the vehicles.
Interior is a highly focused area both from styling and customer point of view, which makes it an interesting and dynamic department to be a part of.
As design engineer you will be working with CAD for concept and industrialization phase of the projects up until production start, and design different components to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time.
The work will be carried out together with a team consisting of other design engineers, test engineers and CAE engineers. The role requires close contact with other areas within P&Q and our suppliers. You will be reporting directly to the Scrum master, Product owner and your Team Manager.
In this role you will be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and get the chance to build network within the company, hence grow together with us.
Main responsibilities
Making 3D models for concept and tooling according to customer demands and standards
Creating 2D drawings and 3DPMi (3D drawings) using Catia V5
Tolerance settings
Engineering templates
Part templates
Following component development time plans (with responsible design leader)
Supporting team lead and be part of FMEA and verification activities
Supporting FEM analysis
Support advanced engineering investigations
Secure and define technical interfaces
Attend and contribute at mechanical integration meetings
Plan and align the work
Required qualifications
B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Good knowledge and expertise in CATIA V5, including FEM module
Experience of thermoforming process and tool setup
Experience of foam process and tool setup
Experience of injection moulding engineering
Previous working experience within Interior engineering are meritorious
Experience in Teamcenter are beneficial
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Driver’s license “B”
