You are going to work in a highly motivated team at the Handheld R&D Power Systems division at Husqvarna Group in Huskvarna, Sweden. Power Systems is responsible for the development of the power train in both Battery and Petrol products. We develop next generation handheld products for forest industry and urban environments. The work comprehend the development of engine components within the Rotating System.
Key Responsibilities
· Design engine components
· 2D and 3D modeling (Catia & SmarTeam)
· New development as well as improvements on existing products.
· Support “Squad” and Team deliveries, internal and external relations.
· Overall representative in projects with overall responsibility.
· Lead and follow-up work tasks (material-lab, product test lab, CAE department, etc)
About you
To be successful as a Mechanical Design Engineer you shall have the following capabilities and experiences:
· Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 years related experience.
· 3+ years of experience (academic or professional) in Mechanical Design.
· Experience with Design tools such as Catia, Office, Matlab.
· Experience with SmarTeam is meritorious.
· Ability to work together with other design engineers and resolve technical issues.
· Strong communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written.
· Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in the design of light metal, machining and molding tools.
· Experience in Engine development (2-stroke).
· Understanding of Engine manufacturing methods and processes.
· Development of high-volume products.
