Johnson Controls Global Marine & Navy in Norrköping is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team.
As a global leader in the marine refrigeration industry, we are dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and servicing complete HVAC & R systems for marine and cruise applications. We pride ourselves on using the latest and most environmentally friendly solutions, with CO2 refrigerant as our new standard.
In the role of Design Engineer, you will work closely with our team leader to develop creative solutions for provision plants and heat pumps. From system calculations to chiller design solutions and documentation, you will be involved in a diverse range of tasks that will challenge and expand your skills.

What you will do
Collaborate closely with the team leader to develop solutions for provision plants.
Read specifications, make deviations, and create JCI technical specifications for quotations.
Collaborate within the design team on various tasks, including brine system calculations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our commissioning and design processes.
Provide technical sales support, starting with specific areas and expanding your scope as your skills develop.
Participate in testing activities of new products developed by the team.

What we look for
Requirements:
Minimum B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering. Knowledge of refrigeration technology is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail in problem-solving.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international matrix environment.
Business acumen with a focus on safety and quality.
Collaborative, convincing, and credible in interactions with customers, partners, and colleagues.

Preferred:
Knowledge of HVAC & R systems.
Experience in industrial installations or service business, and/or automation & controls.
