Who are we?
At ART Body control & Road contact, we are passionate about developing technology that enables Volvo Car Group to fulfill its aggressive targets to be the leader in the areas of Driving Dynamics & Comfort. Within our group suspension architecture, we are now looking for a dedicated design engineer who will work with the development of wheel suspension with a focus on our structural and kinematic content.
As a Design Engineer, you will work in a highly motivated and diverse team with members from different backgrounds and experiences and with a broad variety of external suppliers from various countries.
What will you do?
Within the ART Body control & Road contact, we have a wide variety of competencies since we work with everything from build-to-print parts like subframes and link arms to developing software in-house. As a Design Engineer, you will design wheel suspension steel and/or aluminum components in different manufacturing processes. Examples of components are link arms, knuckles, wheel hubs, and subframes.
You will be also responsible to:
• Represent the team in packaging meetings,
• Ensure that the technical documentation (TCE, KDP) is available at the right level and time,
• Collaborate with CAE, Vehicle dynamic, manufacturing, and other departments within Volvo.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who are passionate about cars and new technology with an educational background in engineering or experience equivalent area. You need to be proficient at TCe, TCVis, and have knowledge of Catia V5. You need to have experience in working with projects and suppliers in the development phase. Also, we believe that you have previous experience in development work within the automotive sector and experience from engineering work on the system level. We are a global company and therefore you must be fluent in English.
It is meritorious if you have experience in working with wheel suspension and Robust Design & Tolerancing (RD&T tool).
Competence and experience are important, but personality is key!
On a personal side, we believe that you are a real team player who has great collaboration skills. You should be open-minded and curious with a good ability to cooperate with your team member and stakeholders.
