Join our team
We need to stay ahead of our competition and therefore we want you to join us to win the race. The R&D Design team is a part of larger R&D team in Fagersta and together we are responsible for developing and designing Epiroc rock drilling tools. By joining our team, you will work in a collaborative environment using existing and building new knowledge to develop and design the most sustainable, productive rock drilling tools. This is a temporary role for about 12 months.
Your mission
We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to fill in for a colleague on maternity leave. You will be a part of the Design Team working in close collaboration with mainly the other R&D teams, but also Marketing, Production, Quality, Purchasing, other R&D sites and other Epiroc divisions. Your main focus will be on creating the design specifications, CAD-files (3D model and 2D drawing) and release the product in our PLM system, but we work broad from inventing ideas, designing, order prototypes, participate and follow up tests.
Location and travel
This position is located in Fagersta, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.

Your profile
To be successful in this role, you should be able to work in a team but also take responsibility and work independently when needed. You are innovative, curious, collaborative, and willing to share knowledge and experience. You will actively participate in small to larger tasks and since we work in an international environment English in both speech and writing is necessary.
We believe you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. You have a great interest to innovate, develop and design products. Our main tools are Creo (CAD) and Teamcenter (Product Life cycle Management) and it is must that you are fluent in Creo. Bonus if you have worked in a Product Life cycle Management system and especially Teamcenter.
