Right now we are looking for a Design engineer to our Operator environment Haulers and Wheel loaders team. The position is for thermal management systems, both the HVAC (heating, ventilation & cooling) for our cab as well the active cooling for electromobility (batteries, fuel cells etc), you will act as a global engineer, working with all components in our HVAC and thermal management systems. You will be a key player in our journey to reach our science based targets.

What will you do?


With a product lifecycle mindset, you drive, create and deliver correctly, completely and clearly documented design solutions. The aim is to produce design solutions that balance technical performance, manufacturability and material cost to ensure that the product will be profitable for Volvo CE, and that we are considered as the No 1 choice by our customers.
Your main work will be hardware related, but you are interested in calibration and diagnosis of your component and systems.


What do you bring with you?


You are a true team player who also can work individually. You have a natural understanding of the customer needs. You are a solution-oriented person with the ability to see the bigger picture. You have experience from hardware design, preferably related to thermal management. Engineering tools, like CAD and PLM, you have experience from. What you don’t know today, you are eager and willing to learn. To be successful in this role you need to be a good communicator and have the ability to work cross functional and in multicultural teams.


Who are you?


You have a structured approach and are used to work as a part of a team, responsible for your deliveries. Challenges, you see as opportunities, and you also enjoy working together with people.
Preferably M.Sc or B.Sc, with a couple of years of experience from design work in HVAC and /or thermal management area, condensors, ac compressors etc are not new to you.
