The Product
The thermal management system is managing the temperature of the conventional combustion engine, electric driveline, batteries, charging interface, power take out, CAB and other electric components. This system has a very central and important role in the future customer experience in terms of performance, range, charging-experience, driving and the premium brand.
Your assignment
You will work in a team consisting of highly skilled colleagues from different companies within the Traton group including MAN in Germany and Navistar in the USA. The team is responsible for the cooling package in the front of the truck both for conventional and electric vehicles. More in detail your assignment include working with heat exchangers, electric fans, plastic recirculation shields and the suspension of the package including sheet metal and casted brackets, we also do pipes and hoses routing on the truck. You will be assigned a main area of responsibility driving the development from concept to industrialisation including planning you work, verification tests, talk with cross functions and use 3D-modelling in Catia as a tool for this. You are also expected to step out of you main responsibility area to help-out and learn in all areas, we deliver as a team.

You are a flexible and prestige-less person with background in agile product development. We also see that you are an ambitious engineer that wants to develop in the technical career path in the future. We also find you interesting if:
• You have an academic education at university level (Bachelor or Master)
• You have experience in 3D-modeling of casted parts and/or plastic parts.
• You have experience from working with development suppliers in an international environment.
• Work experience from the automotive industry as a design engineer or from a relevant cross-functional area.
• CAD-knowledge is a requirement, experience in CatiaV5 and Enovia is meriting
• Professional fluency in English is a requirement.
Who am I as a manager
I started working for Scania in 2012 when I joined the chassi development as a design engineer, since 2019 I have been a manager for 2 different teams. I strongly believe in team spirit, working together in a friendly, supportive, fun and open climate generates a world class product. My responsibility and top priority is to coach the team in achieving this and it all starts with trust. Joining my team you will not be told what to do, you will be trusted and given the right prerequisites to find your own way of understanding what to do and how to do it. This with 100% support from me, the rest of the team and the whole organization in terms of guidance, trainings and mentoring etc. I find that to the best way to generate highly motivated and happy colleagues. Personally I live south of Stockholm with my wife and two daughters. In my free time I like to spend time with friends and family, cooking, outdoor activities and I have a passion for boats and marine life.
