Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfil specific customer’s demands and to enter new segments and markets.
The section RSM is responsible for the development of customized trucks in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request.
At RSM we strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and where all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible.
About the group
Our group, RSMU, deliver customized solutions for the urban and long haulage segments. The adaptations that we do are sprung out of direct customer requests. Our main assets in fulfilling customer demands are Scania´s modular system and the creative minds of our employees. Our group is diverse when it comes to background, origin and personality.
Every adaptation has its own challenges. Since we are working with adaptations all over the vehicle we are often depending on each other’s support and knowledge in different areas. We are proud to do our best in helping our colleagues. Here you always have someone to ask!
Your assignment
You will work with technical investigations of customer requests, specifying and describing the adaptations in the product description system and on drawings and solving deviations if they occur in production. This requires close collaboration with your designer colleagues, production and sales & marketing.
To your help to solve these tasks in an effective way we have routines for the different adaptations. Maintaining and improving our existing adaptations and the documentation of them will be an important part of your job. You will get a deeper knowledge about some of the adaptations, since you will have them as your responsibility.
The extent of the tasks you will handle can vary from known adaptations where you can process several per day to new adaptations that require deeper and longer investigation. The spread in scope and complexity creates great possibilities for you to develop your competence. The knowledge you will accumulate about Scania’s product and processes will make you attractive for other positions within the company.
Your Profile
You are a person that take initiative, enjoy learning new things and like to work with varying tasks. You are good at creating team spirit and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way. The work is both individual and collaborative which demand skills in communication and cooperation. One of our key deliveries is to meet the customer demand quickly, therefore you need to be comfortable working with sharp deadlines in a high pace.
You are a graduate engineer (or similar) and have experience of development and/or production. You are interested in seeing the broader picture rather than details. Knowledge about Scania’s products and modular system is highly meriting. Work experience from similar positions and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting.
We are currently looking for two new employees to our group. If you have previous knowledge of certification this is meriting, since we are starting up a team to handle certification questions for our adaptations.
For more information you are welcome to contact
