Job description
You are an engineer who is passionate about design and have a strong interest in programming/software integration and design automation. You are a curious and driven individual who thrives when finding solutions to challenging technical problems and enjoys working in multi-disciplinary teams. Finally, you are interested in working in an exciting and booming industry at the forefront of innovation and technology development.
Key responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of our multidisciplinary design framework. This includes creating custom applications/scripts in Siemens NX (CAD) and achieving the integration of new software/tools for improved functionality.
• Define and perform multidisciplinary design studies, both in order to demonstrate the multidisciplinary design framework and to support technology development projects.
• Contribute to the development of GKN as a 'Great Place to Work', aligned with the core principles: safe, innovative, open & honest, care & respect, and ownership.

Your profile
Qualifications:
• M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge and experience from CAD tools: NX
• Good programing skills. Experience in working with API’s.
• Good math and statistical skills
• You have good communication skills and the ability to create effective networks.
• You are proficient in English, which is the GKN Group language
Desirable:
• Experience in design-automation
• Experience in set-based design
• Experience in NX-programming
• Knowledge of Swedish is considered favorable

This is a consultant assignment which means you will be employed by Skill and work as a consultant at GKN Aerospace. The assignment will last for about 1 year with the possibility of extension and/or transition to GKN.
