Design Engineer to Kanthal

We're seeking for a passionate and motivated Design Engineer to support Business development within Steel and join our Engineering team. This position will be based in Hallstahammar.




Your role
Working as part of an innovative global team focussing on the steel industry, key responsibilities for this role are:
Support and drive the development and design of electric heating solutions
Design construction of complete heating solutions – from conceptual stage to production drawings
Act as internal specialist towards our Global Sales and Marketing functions
Support industrialisation of new products together with our global production units
Project managing specific customer projects together with R&D and other functions
Continuously build knowledge and understanding of the market and customers within the steel industry





About you
We are looking for someone who has graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, materials science, electrical or a related discipline. The role can be customized to suit whether you are recent graduate och possess several years of experience within your area of expertise. The business language is English, and it is crucial that you are fluent in speaking and writing to be able to connect both internally and externally. If you also have proficiency in Swedish language, we consider it as advantageous.
We are sincerely interested in your personality – possessing exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills that excel in the analysis of complex issues and development of innovative solutions. You know how to convey technical concepts with clarity and precision to both technical and non-technical team members. CAD – Solid works or similar are essential competences, competence within FEM and CFD-modelling are desirable.
