Design for Production Engineer

We are now looking for a Design for Production Engineer to join one of the Production System Engineering teams within Axis 's Operations department.

Your future team
You will be a part of a diverse team of test engineers and production engineers cooperating to bring Axis products to market. The role gives a broad range of creative interfaces and an opportunity to cooperate with and learn from them i.e., mechanics, electronics production, software, supply chain and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS's).

What will you do?
You will be working in Product development projects, giving important production expertise during development. Drive activities such as workshops and discussions in the areas of ease of assembly and robust design feedback.

In later stages in projects, you will be working with fixture design and/or sourcing of fixtures and documenting of production equipment, developing production process, and working closely with external suppliers with the introduction of new products globally.

You will have a deep collaboration with our external EMS's (located in Asia, Europe, and North America) taking technical lead and managing the EMS by approving external developed equipment and planning production flows and line set-up.

The position requires travelling up to 30 days a year.

We'd love to hear that you have:

* Master's in mechanical engineering, preferably with production focus and/or relevant experience.
* Experience in PDM (Preferably Windchill)
* Knowledge of 3D CAD - (Creo (Pro/Engineer) is an advantage).
* Experience in Mechatronics and Automation is beneficial and will come in use in your daily work
* Experience in Electronic design and SMT production is also beneficial and will come in use in your daily work
* International Production experience or development of production equipment as well as optics or metrology experience is considered an advantage
* Very good communication skills in English are required and Swedish at beginners' level is an advantage
