Star Stable Entertainment is the home of the #1 fastest-growing horse adventure game in the world - Star Stable Online. We are now looking for a Craft Manager that will guide our Designers (such as Game Designers, Content Designers, and Level Designers) in their development. You support each individual in their professional growth while working towards business goals and vision. This is a role that’s quite new to us, so we expect that you enjoy taking on a challenge and drive the work on continuous improvement.
Our internal title for this role is “Craft Manager”, and it is focused on the development of our design crafts, as well as the personal development of our staff.
As a Craft Manager at Star Stable, you…
- Support individuals in their professional growth and towards their development objectives by employing coaching, mentoring, and other mechanisms as needed.
- Work to build a strong and healthy craft by fostering trust and belonging.
- Understand others’ motivations and needs and keep providing a motivational environment where creators are enabled to do their best work.
- Carry out hands-on talent planning, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and compensation.
- Evaluate and improve workflows and processes to help develop the craft’s performance, together with others in the organization.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships in the organization.
To thrive in this role, we believe that…
- You have people leadership/management experience with strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- You come from a background in game design.
- You have an understanding of change management principles and how to apply them.
- You are effective in one-to-one and one-to-many interactions with the ability to use communication to make a strategy come alive.
- You are hands-on experience leading people through change in a continuous participatory way.
