We are looking for a Section Manager for CBS Umeå. This section is responsible for the design roles within CBS (Automation, Mechanical, Functional Design). The role includes management of the section and the section members and close collaboration with all necessary roles within Global Supply Chain. As a section manager you will be accountable for securing deliverables from the section into the projects and support the business with quality issues and product care of CBS products. You will work to continuously develop processes in order to secure delivery and quality of the products in an efficient way as well as continuously stimulate, develop and grow the employees in your team.
What You'll Do
CBS is an organization within Life Sciences Bioprocess delivering customized bioprocess hardware. Internally we have a matrix organization where each customer order becomes a project with resources from project management, lead system design, detailed design, manufacturing transfer, sourcing and verification. Our global customers have high expectations of quality and lead-time which creates a very positive and dynamic project delivery focus and team working environment.
To maximize overall productivity and quality for all projects by allocating resources from the section to projects in the most optimal way based on overall priorities.
Responsible for Case Management and design quality for the designed products.
Responsible for product care of CBS products produced in Umeå.
Develop internal and external network for team.
Support development of process guidelines.
To continuously monitor and work to improve the productivity of the section and the ability to deliver on time and budget.
To actively monitor quality of the work done by the section personnel and work to secure that project quality objectives are met.
Within given responsibilities make budget, forecasts and actively monitor spending.
Review project work when requested by processes, project manager or whenever needed by other reasons.
To secure that the competence and know-how of the section members is appropriate to support the organization in the fields the section is responsible for, and that competences are continuously developed via education, seminars, coaching, mentoring and individual developmental plans.
Actively work for team EHS improvements.

Who you are
BSc or similar education in relevant area
Minimum significant years’ experience in relevant product development
Proven leadership and people skills from e.g. line management or project management
Strong cooperation skills
Genuine interest in developing people and technical solutions
Strong communication skills
Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
