We are a new function made up of sustainable changemakers who pioneer customer centric ways of working inside the H&M Group. We enable our brands to move faster and stay relentlessly customer-focused by running frontrunning initiatives in many different areas of our business. The function is new and consists of cross-functional design teams, and many virtual team members across our amazing collaborative network. Job Description
Great design is born out of great research. As a Design Researcher at Brand Services, you'll be solving complex problems, learning new things, and shaping the future of fashion. We see you leading multidisciplinary teams through a journey of human-centered research to discover insights that contributes to all phases of the design process. As a Design Researcher you will develop the research roadmap and provide key insights to drive development and design decisions. You will bring your design craft and skill set to help drive evidence-based product and design decisions in all project phases from discovery to live.
Your responsibilities:
Design, plan and execute creative research across desirability, viability and feasibility lenses.
Synthesize and think about systems-level patterns and frameworks
Communicate and tell stories using writing, visuals, and verbal communication
Make research findings relevant and impactful for design through a variety of formats such as insights, decks, stories, videos, experiences, and exhibits.
Help build and mature our Design Research practice.
Qualifications
At least 3-5 years of work experience from an applied research setting, familiar with quantitative research methods, utilizing metrics and A/B tests, and able to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative data
Background in computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, experimental psychology, anthropology, sociology, data science or a related field, or have equivalent work experience
You have a strong working knowledge of design thinking and user research methods, including when and how to apply different methods in various scenarios.
You are passionate about understanding your customers and bringing their voices into the design and development process
Strong interpersonal skills and thriving in a cross-functional setting.
You can clearly articulate the process, approach, and impact of your research in verbal and visual presentation. You are comfortable communicating in English.
Confident supporting the work of less experienced colleagues.
