If your answer is YES to the above questions, you are at the right place! We are looking for a Project Leader Performance for internal combustion engines, to be part of the Volvo Engine team, a department within Sustainable Power Systems organization.


We, at Volvo Engines, are a group of fantastic and dedicated engineers working with tomorrow’s cleaner and more powerful internal combustion engines for Volvo Construction Equipment.


Volvo Engines is responsible for the development of internal combustion engines for our construction equipment machinery. We work with the complete development cycle from design and implementation to testing in machines. Our journey towards a more sustainable future will, besides tougher emission requirements, also focus on alternative and non-fossil fuels.


What We Offer?
In the Project Leader Performance role, you will play an important part in the development of our new engines. You will be involved from the very beginning and throughout the entire project. Activities included are, e.g.
Creating engine performance and emissions requirements for the engines to be developed.
Secure the engine performance and feature fulfillment while staying within engineering boundaries.
Take part in planning and execution of engine performance, emission & verification activities.
Guide and support a team of Engine Calibration Engineers to meet the expected targets.

The end application is construction equipment machines such as wheel loaders, excavators, and articulated haulers. The work is based on close cooperation with complete machine developers and is carried out in cross functional teams.


The job requires a broad approach with a deep general understanding of combustion engines and their usage in construction equipment applications. Specifically, it is important with knowledge in internal combustion engineering, exhaust after treatment systems, and Software.

Who are you?
A curios and enthusiastic engineer with a passion for Internal Combustion Engines and engine exhaust aftertreatment systems. You are a true team player who also can work individually and represent the team.


You have experience within the automotive area with a good knowledge in Internal Combustion engineering, Vehicle engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanics, or other education relevant for this position.


You are also structured and analytical, and you enjoy being on top of things. We hope that you are driven by the desire to create a sustainable future together with us!
