Who are you?
We are looking for a person that is curious about exploring new, fun and intuitive ways to create the best user experience and an easy-to-use design system. You thrive when you get to use your skills and insights to optimize and shape the experience - to ensure that our users are in the front and center.
To succeed in this role we believe you need to be creative, structured, open for input and have good knowledge of accessibility principles. This role facilitates and initiates collaboration between the rest of the designers, so collaboration skills are key.
Tasks and Responsibilities
You will be working in a multidisciplinary team, responsible for development and improvement of our Mercell Design System. You need to have a tight collaboration with UX Designers across teams and make sure the design system empowers them to create the best services possible. Ensuring consistency, accessibility and WCAG compliance are key areas of focus for this role.
Leading our Design System also means you will be key in the ongoing development of our Mercell brand. Mercell got a new face in February of 2021, so there is still plenty of opportunity to make a mark.
Some of your common tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Leading the continued development of our design system and brand
- Collaboration in the design system team
- Collaboration with the design team
- Create and iterate on system components
- Ensure consistency
- Ensure our components meets WCAG compliance requirements
- Testing
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a UX/UI Designer and creating design systems
- Minimum three years of relevant education within UX Design, Interaction Design or other relevant subjects
- Fluent in English, written and spoken - comfortable working in English
- Good visual communication skills and a strong commitment to the user experience
