We are looking for a Chief Service Designer Volvo Trucks to join our dynamic and diverse team in Gothenburg. Working with us at Product Design is an opportunity to work in a global environment with truly amazing product design development. You will be part of a global organization of design excellence that creates superior customer value by designing appealing products with strong brand profiles for the Volvo Group.


What will you work with as Chief Service Designer Volvo Trucks?
As a Chief Service Designer, you will lead and motivate Service Designers, UX Designers and Front End Developers working on our products, in line with the brand’s strategies, in cutting edge areas such as electromobility, automation and connectivity. You will also lead the work to map use cases and identify critical touch points where new interaction solutions are needed to support (or create) sustainable business models.


Your primary focus is on off-board applications, delivering services and business frameworks. You will also be facilitating service design exploratory activities, through design thinking workshops, qualitative research and customer journey mapping.


In this position you will work within Volvo Group Trucks Technology, belong to the Complete Vehicle organization, be located in Gothenburg, Sweden and report to the Design Director Volvo Trucks.

In this role you will plan, structure and facilitate workshops for designers as well as non-designers, so the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple ways is highly beneficial. If you have a personal interest in understanding future transport solutions of our society and want to be a part of translating that into something concrete, then you will feel right at home here at Product Design. You will have the opportunity to do this at the same time as you thrive on being part of a multi-disciplinary team.


Other key requirements for the role are: 
Degree in Service Design, or related design or behavioral science discipline
3+ years’ documented experience in hands-on Service Design development
5+ years’ documented experience in business or design related creative environments (experience from automotive industry is a merit)
Understanding and knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD, Invision and Flinto
Knowledge in Agile (SAFE) methodologies and Scrum
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
