HV Breakers (High Voltage Breakers) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids located in Ludvika. The unit has worldwide responsibility for the development, production and sale of high voltage breakers for both AC and DC power systems. High voltage plays an important role in reliable and energy efficient power systems.
As a designer at HV Breakers you will create and modify customer specific solutions based on our standard designs to fulfill customer requirements. The complexity of projects will vary greatly, from basic designs to complex design solutions.

Your responsibilities
Act as a technical leader for your customers orders and countries
Understand simple circuit diagrams in E3
Work with 3D-Design, CREO
Review customer specification from Order Design office together with your team members and/or individually
Function as a technical support for the production units when needed
Work close with your team members or individually with the Order design office to secure Bill of Material according to relevant customer documents.
You will work with a large global network and collaborate with your international colleagues and customers

Your background
We are looking for a talented person who can work systematically and are able to work independently and as a member of a team
You appreciate working with your colleagues and understand the importance of investing in long-term customer relations
Understanding in HV Breakers products is desired but not required
You have engineering background with several of years’ work experience as designer
Knowledge in electrical design is a plus
Proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people from all over the world
