Designer to HVDC, specialized in Climate systems

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Do you want to take the next step and design the technique that will be installed? We are currently looking for an additional designer, specializing in climate systems/HVAC (Heating, ventilation and airconditioning). At the department of Technical Plant Systems (TPS) we are approximately 50 coworkers responsible for the unique auxiliary power and peripheral systems, like climate systems, to HVDC plants worldwide. We are also developing circuit diagrams (PCD) for the entire plant. As designer, your primary task will be to design these products and to monitor the installation on site. It will be your mission to ensure that all documentation that is handed over to the customer is correct and that the data from the site is documented accordingly. If you are new to this area, you will be supported by skilled colleagues and by our technical responsible who manages the designers. During installation, you will have the opportunity to get to know interesting places around the world as you will spend between one to four months on site. The department in Ludvika is HVDC's Technical Lead Center, but you might also conduct some design work at our offices in India and the USA. The successful candidate hold:
. A Bachelor in mechanical engineering, Design or Electric Design.
. A few years work experience within the field
. Knowledge about Engineering Base is meriting

You should be experienced in calculations, mechanical/electrical design, commissioning concerning climate system/HVAC.

As you will travel frequently and collaborate with engineers from all over the world, you should enjoy getting to know other cultures, and be fluent in written and spoken English. Naturally, you are attentive to details and interested in the exciting technology that HVDC offers.
