Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Go further, faster and challenge the mobility of tomorrow. The group Inner Maneouvering within powertrain and transmission development are designing and testing high-performing hardware parts allowing for excellent gearshifting properties. Our product portfolio includes innovative solutions both for e-mobility and vehicles with combustion engines. As a designer you are part of our innovative team developing and verifying our products. The work can be situated anywhere between concept phase to production implementation.
Your assignment
As a designer and component owner within our group Inner Manoeuvring you will be responsible for hardware parts. This means that you design the parts, create the drawings, communicate with assembly, machining or sourcing department at Scania and external suppliers. You will work closely with the design engineers responsible for neighbouring interfaces. You will define tasks for simulation and test activities, and by using your understanding of the trucks usage determine if the parts fulfil the demands.
Supported by an experienced team of design and test engineers you will work together to ensure that the end product meets the customers targets. As part of our team you will follow the development of the hardware from idea to finalized product and you will be an important part of the continuous learning in the team.

Your profile
You have experience of working with 3D modelling software and you can perform tolerance chain analyses. You have a positive attitude, are goal-oriented and interested to expand your skillset in future-oriented technologies, such as hybridisation and electrification. An academic education on bachelor or master level is required and you should master Swedish and English in speech and writing. You are a person that take initiative, enjoy learning new things and like to work with varying tasks.
