To support us on this journey, continue strengthening our design identity and build the design competence, we are opening multiple positions for designers strengthening our team in Älmhult.

As an in-house Designer at IKEA, you will design products applying Democratic Design principles, meaning that all products should be beautiful, functional and affordable with built-in quality and sustainability. You always put our customers in focus and always try to find more creative and innovative solutions that meet the changing needs in people’s everyday life at home. You believe that design is a teamwork and you develop better products while working together across different disciplines and you take pride in working close with our suppliers and designing on the factory floor. You are going to be part of a team of 18 in-house Designers based in Älmhult who, together with our freelance design community and colleagues across IKEA, work with product development for the IKEA product range. A few of these colleagues are Designers who are stationed at the IKEA Development Centre in Shanghai, China.

The position is placed in Älmhult and might require some long-distance travelling.
